Wireless broadband is a broadband connection to the internet that is accessed via a wireless transceiver (CPE). This is different to 3G or 4G mobile broadband, which uses mobile phone signals. It is a direct connection between your building and the closest wireless highsite – no telephone line or 3rd party required. Speeds are synchronous, making this the closest substitute for fibre, and solving the upload restrictions associated with ADSL lines. Users of Cloud services, Skype Video and other ‘upload intensive’ applications turn to Wireless as their preferred, and affordable connection.
VOIP is an acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in more common terms a phone service over the Internet. If you have a reasonable quality Internet connection you can get phone service delivered through your Internet connection instead of from your local phone company, with call charges at an very competitive rate.
Traditional ISP services from ADSL, to fibre, to wireless, are on offer.
Internet access, VPN solutions, domain hosting, managed firewalls and managed MPLS Wide area networks form the major product offerings, whilst custom solutions are also on offer for those with special requirements.
